Have to let people know. I'm passionate about this. My people were a former enemy of Iran..now is not the time to be enemies. If you missed it, read my first entry about it here.

We must be the voice for the people of Iran who would otherwise be silenced. They are without reliable news sources, they are without mobile phone calls, text messaging, facebook, twitter, youtube, AIM, Yahoo, Google, and pretty much every other useful outlet for information you can think of. Yet they persist on the streets and on the internet in any way they can. The least we can do, whether we are across continents, oceans, or time zones, is spread their words safely.

Right now, brave men and women in Iran, both young and old, are sacrificing their lives for their voices to be heard. They must fear not only the police, but also the Basij -a force of men loyal to the government who plant themselves among crowds in plain clothes in order to discretely attack protesters and incite chaos.The protesters are peaceful. They mass together in crowds that are reported to grow in size every day. At night they have very few, if any, safe places to stay. Houses with satelite dishes were attacked by the Basij tonight, and during the 50 minutes of Twitter's maintenance, another university was attacked.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?

The most obvious thing to do is stay informed. Keep an eye on reliable sources on Twitter, refresh blogs and news sites that are covering the stories.

If you are on twitter, retweet information from reliable twitters, but REMOVE THE USERNAME if they are in Iran. People have died because of the lack of responsibility by fellow tweeters and the media in this front. They can be tracked down by the government of Iran.

Spread the information elsewhere. Repost this article or write your own on Facebook, Myspace, Tumblr, or anywhere else you can think of. If you write your own, make sure you are concise and accurate. Link to your sources for people to learn more.

Change your location on Twitter to Tehran or Iran, and your time zone to GMT +3:30.

DO NOT auto-refresh and take down websites, even if you are asked. It slows down the internet for the rest of the people in Iran.

If you make a proxy DO NOT post it publically, otherwise it is useless. Send it in a direct message to a trusted source.

DO NOT spam the hash tag #IranElection with useless things to "confuse the government". This does not help at all.

Oh, and my laptop charger is being a complete bitch, and likes to not charge my laptop at the slightest movement. Time for a new charger then.

But back to my default icon. What's happening reminds me so much of the graphic novel Persepolis I read for summer reading my 1st year of college. But anyways, no cut because this is important. So get your heads out from under the fandom or self-centered cloud and know what's going on in a country not many people like. ~~Comments disabled because I can do it.~~ Free speech for all!

If you are reading this right now, you have more luxury than someone in Iran could ever hope for right now. If you are watching TV or a video on youtube, updating your status on Facebook, Tweeting, or even texting your friend, you are lucky. If you are safe in your home, and were able to sleep last night without the sounds of screaming from the rooftops, you need to know and understand what is happening to people just like you in Iran right now.

They are not the enemy. They are a people whose election has been stolen. For the first time in a long time, a voice for change struck the youth of Iran, just as it did for many people in the United States only seven months ago. Hossein Mousavi gained the support of millions of people in Iran as a Presidential candidate. He stands for progressiveness. He supports good relations with the West, and the rest of the world. He is supported with fervor as he challenges the oppressive regime of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

On Friday, millions of people waited for hours in line to vote in Iran's Presidential election. Later that night, as votes came in, Mousavi was alerted that he was winning by a two-thirds margin. Then there was a change. Suddenly, it was Ahmadinejad who had 68% of the vote - in areas which have been firmly against his political party, he overwhelmingly won. Within three hours, millions of votes were supposedly counted - the victor was Ahmadinejad. Immediately fraud was suspected - there was no way he could have won by this great a margin with such oppposition. Since then, reports have been coming in of burned ballots, or in some cases numbers being given without any being counted at all. None of this is confirmed, but what happened next seems to do the trick.

The people of Iran took the streets and rooftops. They shout "Death to the dictator" and "Allah o akbar." They join together to protest. Peacefully. The police attack some, but they stay strong. Riots happen, and the shouting continues all night. Text messaging was disabled, as was satellite, and websites which can spread information such as Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, and the BBC are blocked in the country. At five in the morning, Arabic speaking soldiers (the people of Iran speak Farsi) stormed a university in the capital city of Tehran. While sleeping in their dormitories, five students were killed. Others were wounded. These soldiers are thought to have been brought in by Ahmadinejad from Lebanon. Today, 192 of the university's faculty have resigned in protest.

Mousavi requested that the government allow a peaceful rally to occur this morning - the request was denied. Many thought that it would not happen. Nevertheless, first a few thousand people showed up in the streets of Tehran. At this point, it is estimated that 1 to 2 million people were there. Mousavi spoke on the top of a car. The police stood by. For a few hours, everything was peaceful. Right now, the same cannot be said. Reports of injuries, shootings, and killings are flooding the internet. Twitter has been an invaluable source - those in Iran who still know how to access it are updating regularly with picture evidence. People are being brutally beaten. Tonight will be another night without rest for so many in Iran no older than I am. Tonight there is a Green Revolution.

So who remembers this entry? For better (or for worse, I'm not sure), I guess you could say we're not on speaking terms at the moment. A few days after I wrote that entry I had a chat with my former HCA (House Community Adviser), in which she told me pretty much to stay away from her, because she's just attention-seeking and such. As I quote, "She's a glutton for punishment". I couldn't agree more. We've had a few terse words with each other this week, and especially this morning where I told her off on class and the exam on Thursday, and I'd rather not pay her any more attention. Fine, you keep complaining how much you hate Cog Psych and don't understand it and say you have a lot of work and shit and decide not to go to class the day before we have our exam and stuff but then go to some crap class at night.. so you can go to the crappy class but not the important class? don't play this bullshit with me. She can go to her other friend and whine and complain about it and the other friend can be all sympathetic towards her, but not me, not anymore. I don't need people who are dragging themselves down and want me to go down with them.

Just had to get it out of my system. It hasn't been bothering me in the least; I'm quite glad we're not talking. It's like a burden has been lifted and I can go back to my life.

~~Lollipop (not the Lil' Wayne song, the Big Bang/ 2NE1 song) is an addictive song..it's been on repeat for hours at a time. 0_0~~

This isnt' an update about me. Well, it is about me, though it's something that's been pissing me off for the past two weeks, which might explain why I haven't been around as often as I have been.

I got very sick last week it's a bad viral infection that includes very sore throat, sneezing, coughing, etc...thankfully I'm doing much better; all I have now is a horrible cough that makes it difficult for me to talk at a certain volume and then I'll start coughing like mad. But this isn't about me.

It's about my friend. She got sick the same day I did, though instead of taking care of it like you should do, she decided to "ignore it" and go on as though nothing's wrong. Until she went home on Tuesday for family related stuff and started coughing blood.

You would think she would do something about this, right? She does crew; tennis practices for me started this week, meaning I was playing at 6:30 in the morning. Mind you, I'm still sick, though I told my coach about my condition and how I can do everything except run. At least I know my limits. My friend on the other hand...she doesn't tell her coach she's sick, so she's running around the track for 30 mins. looking purple in the face and whatnot. Oh, and she told her coach she was on antibiotics, but did not tell her what they were for until I threatened to go down to the gym and tell her coach everything that's been happening.

I'm tired of all of it. She finally went to the hospital this evening b/c health services think there's nothing wrong with her. And I made her call her coach and say she was taking the pills for the coughing blood bit. And what does her coach say? "Go. Now".

I'm tired of being her mother and telling her to go to the nurse, quit crew, etc. I'm not doing it any more. I don't have time for your bullshit because you refuse to take care of yourself. You're going to be unable to walk by the time you're 30 and shit like that. And at that point I won't give a shit, because I kept telling you what you should do but no, you just have to be an ass and not listen to anyone who cares about you. Go ahead, go fuck up your life, but don't come crying to me saying you're sorry.

*sigh* Anyways, what's up with everyone? I promise a better entry in the near future...I just...don't have time for shit like this. Back to my homework. I'm not sure when I'll update this next. I love you all.

* I spazz a lot over this group. Bear with me? ^_^

So I was talking with oneday2005 over MSN...and I guess over at CR she really liked my profile song, which was, of course, A Song For You (remix) by SS501. Which lead to me telling her what to watch/listen to by them. Which kind of lead to this post, because I'm cool like that. :D I even get to use Leader as my icon! :DDD So mainly this post is for her, and all those people who wanted to know who SS501 was but never actually got into them. D:

So. This is SS501. (pronounced Double S Five Oh One). Because the "Double S" stands for Super Star and the 501 represents all five members becoming one or some kind of logic like that. Whatever, it works. They belong to DSP (Daesung) Entertainment, which personally no one really likes after they had A'ST1 do some promo thing proclaiming "Defeat Super Junior" and ELF (SuJu's fangroup) went apeshit and yeah. That's a story for another day.

-Name/Nickname: HyunJoong, aka LEADER
- DOB: June 6, 1986
- He's the leader of the group, because he's the oldest (isn't that how it normally is decided in kpop groups?). It's okay if you get his name mixed up with Kim HyungJoon, aka Baby, because we called the leader Leader, and Baby Baby. more on this later?
- He's gorgeous. He's beautiful. People said he looks like Yamashita Tomohisa, which I totally don't see. I see more of Akanishi Jin. But this is my opinion, and if you don't like it, then screw you. :D
- He's crazy, he's funny, and he loves to sleep/hard to waken (watch "Thanks for Waking Us Up" and you'll see what I mean)
- He plays guitar..and he recently held a special stage with TOP of Big Bang, another gorgeous guy if you ask me. :D
- He is playing the role of Hanazawa Rui in the Korean version of Hana Yori Dango. DAMN.

Heo YoungSaeng

Name/Nickame: YoungSaeng, aka Otter, aka Saeng, because I'm too lazy to type out his full name.
- DOB: November 3, 1986
- please don't ask me why his nickname is Otter. I have no idea. D:
- He has the best voice (again, my opinion) in the group. Think of a Yesung look-a-like with Ryeowook's voice. ~~I seriously have to stop using Super Junior references.~~ SS501 was inactive throughout much of 2006 because Saeng had a throat condition that required surgery and instead of going on without him, they took the time off. :D
- He's pretty serious when it comes to TV shows, but we all know he's super dorky and always tries to return to his "cool demeanor" after he's done joking around.
- I LOVE HIS HAIR. ~~Until he dyed it that horrible light brown in Deja Vu and SFU Remix MVs~~
- totally unrelated, ~~but I have a friend who looks so much like him I keep thinking she's like his twin or something.~~

Kim KyuJong

- Name/Nickname: KyuJong
-DOB: February 24, 1987
- I do not flail so much over him. I do not know why. I should.
- In "Thanks for Waking Us Up" he's almost always the first member to wake up, so he never has to go through Park Kyung Lim's punishments.
- In the same show (above) he sleeps with a giant teddy bear that's about the same size he is. :D
- He has the 2nd best voice in the group (again, my opinion..don't like it, then STFU.)
- I don't have anything to say about him. Except that he's asdklfjasdklfjadsklfjsadfklasjdf calm and cool and akdjfalksdfjadsklfjasdlfkajsdf hot and yeah. HELLO!! LOOK AT THAT LAST PIC!!

Park Jungmin

- Name/Nickname: Jungmin, aka Horse
- DOB: April 3, 1987
- Before I continue, I have to say this. iconlovesu despises Jungmin. He's one of the top three of her "FUGLY LIST", and calls him HomoHorse. :DDDDDD
- Jungmin is crazy and whatnot. Many of us have questioned his sexuality and whatnot but I'm cool with however he identifies himself with, because he's just cool.
- He's called Horse because he loves carrots and sometimes neighs like one. If you ever watch Hyunderella (spoof on Cinderella), he acts like a horse and it's quite funny and disturbing. I think that's one of the places where some people wonder if he's ghei. *shrugs*
- After Leader, he's very hard to wake up. He will MURDER you, as in throw pillows at you, grab your hair and bite your arm if you try to wake him up. He tortures Baby like this every time and it's funny yet frightening to watch. *_*
- He has this ultra super super bright smile that gets me every time I see it. :D

Kim HyungJoon

-Name: HyungJoon, aka Baby
- DOB: August 3, 1987
- Remember under Leader's section I was saying how it was confusing to differentiate between HyunJoong and HyungJoon? Well, here is the 2nd part to the confusion. However, us fans call HyungJoon Magnae ( youngest one ,baby in English) so we'll call HyungJoon Baby and HyunJoong Leader. Still confused? Look at where the "G"s are placed.
- Baby. What can I say about him? He's probably my 3rd favorite member but that doesn't count. He sings, he dances, he raps!!! he gets picked on a lot, he does everything. He's cute, but is also very hot.
- another totally unrelated point, but his younger brother Kibum is a member of the new group U-Kiss. You know them. They're the ones who are a mix of Big Bang, SHINee and Soulja Boy wearing Kobe Bryant jerseys in the video. But that has nothing to do with Baby. except for his brother..and his brother being in U-Kiss... i'm getting nowhere.*headdesks*
- Baby, being the baby of the family gets picked on a lot. As in, watch "Thanks for Waking Us Up" and you'll see what I mean. Jungmin pulls his hair, Leader strangles him, and he is accused of a "crime" in which he did not commit! And he cries each time and it's so heartbreaking to see. :D

*Is she done yet? Of course not! :D
